The Rescue Annies
About Us

The Rescue Annies began in April 2007 in the back of an ambulance in Haverhill, MA.  During some downtime between emergency calls Jim Fetterolf began writing songs about various calls he experienced as a paramedic.  Much of his writing comes directly from the patients, the crew members and the oddities of working in the medical field.

Taking the music to the next step he recorded most of his music in his basement home studio.  As the songs started to take shape he employed the talents of Mike Loce, a guitar instructor and Gavin Paddock, a drum instructor both at the Music Academy of Chelmsford.  From there they got in contact with Jeff Williams, a phenomenal musician and assistant professor of recording engineering at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA.   Wendy Mittelstadt was brought in for her fiddle talents to add some interesting elements in a bittersweet, yet humorous song about osteoporosis.

Through hard work, long hours, and many, many revisions a truly inspiring concept album revolving around 'medical rock music' started to take shape.

We are presently working on our follow up album in fall 2009 and early 2010.  Back to the studio!
