If you like original medical music with rockin' beat, quick response and a little humor...well, grab your jump kit cuz' you're on arrival!
Welcome to The Rescue Annies website where music meets medicine. The Annies have finished their debut 'medical rock' concept album, 'Shocks, Meds and Rock-n-Roll'. You're not going to believe how kickin' songs about CPR dolls, cathlab runs, osteoporosis and going senile can be. It's bizarre, we know but a heck of a lot of fun. It really is quite unique. The album is now available for digital distribution through Digistation or in a good old fashioned CD jewel case with cool liner notes and lyrics through CD Baby...or directly from us via P.O. Box (see 'Music & Press'). ___________________________________ BENEFIT CONCERT - RESULTS The warmest of thanks from the entire band for all those that came out to see us Saturday night in the Pepperell Library and donated some money towards a good cause. We'll we had a really great time jammin'. Perhaps we were a bit loud as I kept seeing little specks floating over the crowd while I was singing. I later found out that it was the plaster from the ceiling coming off. Oops, maybe the Marshall half-stack and 100 watt Fender bass amps were the culprits. No...instead I'll blame it on Gavin's driving drum beats...not us guitar players - we don't turn up the volume....much. Anyway, we sold a bunch of albums, raised a good amount of money for PACH (Pepperell Aid from Community to Home - which helps elderly in Pepperell with home heating assistance) and had a lot of fun. Our set included 6 original songs - 4 off the album and 2 new ones ('My worst day fishin'..beats my best day workin' and the surprise crowd favorite 'Monkey all over you'.) We also played 3 covers including '867-5309 Jenny', 'Hungry like the Wolf' and, of course, 'Johnny B. Goode'. Cam 'the ham' took center stage for that one and really set the crowd home with smiles. Loce, as always ripped some flawless guitar solos and used his famous vintage 'fuzz face' pedal. Very fun night. Thanks again for all those that came out and sorry we ran out of T-shirts...we'll make more. Stay safe and take care, Jim Fetterolf |
